INTERNATIONAL BACCALAUREATE THEATRE STUDIES

This year is going to be busy busy busy!!!

THEATRE IB LAB FEE---$150.00
        This covers the cost of Festival fees, Plays, Musicals, Royalty fees, Bus transportation, etc.  This money will be due in one or two parts.  First $75.00 is due October 6, the Second $75.00 is due November 3.  You may pay in total.  Checks made payable to SHHS DRAMA DEPARTMENT

Prepare yourselves now for dates that we will be participating in festivals, going to shows, performing, etc.

For sure dates--THESE DATES ARE MANDATORY!!!  If you feel you cannot miss school, then you need to drop the class.  You have fair warning and plenty of time to let your teachers know, get your work and make arrangements.  If you don't understand the word "mandatory" look it up here:  MANDATORY.  Do not annoy me with your excuses. 

October 8 (not for sure, might be 15)----Fullerton College Play with Q&A to follow

November date to be determined---Cal Poly Pomona Play

December 16, 17 & 18---Traveling Children's Theatre Performances. 

January 16---Cal Poly Pomona Theatre Festival

January 16, 17 & 18---CETA Festival at Fontana High School (scholarship opportunities available)

March 5---Fullerton College Play with Q&A to follow

April 17 & 18 ---CSULB Festival

May 26---Sunny Hills Theatre Festival

FIRST FESTIVALS WE WANT TO PREPARE FOR (will depend on location and dates)

Role-About Festival---
        Each student will prepare scenes from three of the following categories.:  Classical Theatre, Contemporary Theatre, Original/Classical/Contemporary Monologues, Radio Plays,     Screenplays, and Cold Readings

DTASC---
        Each student will prepare one scene from a category to be announced later.

CETA---
        Each Senior will compete for a spot to audition for monologue scholarship.  We will also prepare a scene for SceneFest
