Well, I've had enough. I have realized that
the more successful I am in the theatre world, the less fun it is. The moment
of truth came this summer when I was offered my Equity card and instead of
taking it, I gave up professional acting altogether. I am sure I will still
do shows for fun here and there, (it is in my blood, after all), but I just
can't stand the lifestyle. It is not that I don't think I am good enough, or
that I am quitting my dream...I have simply realized that I don't enjoy it
anymore. The "dream" of what I thought a theatre life would be doesn't
actually exist. Thank God I did it for a while so that I will never have
regrets. Now I know that I am not missing out while I pursue a new life. And
that life is in psychology. I have started taking classes, I love it, and I
am excited to start pursuing my master's. (Oh yeah, still married, still no
